Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT) is a philosophy, approach, system and technique that helps clients reach their full potential. This presentation will describe the multi-dimensional philosophy and application principles. In addition, current and past PROMPT evidence-based research will be reviewed. Interactive case studies will highlight how PROMPT is applied in assessment and treatment. These will emphasize how PROMPT helps speech-language pathologists meet the individual needs of each client and facilitates for optimal functional communication outcomes.
At the completion of this presentation, the participant will be able to describe the philosophy of PROMPT and its application principles; understand PROMPT evidence based research; and recognize what PROMPT assessment and treatment look like.
