When attendees to PROMPT workshops pay registration fees to other parties, the following terms and conditions shall apply:

Eligibility

You must be a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to attend any of our workshops. Registrants who are not licensed SLPs will be asked to the leave the workshop and will not receive a refund.

Please note that parents who are not SLPs are not eligible to participate in our workshops due to the extensive background knowledge required to master PROMPT. Parents who register for a workshop that are not a licensed SLP will be asked to leave and will not receive a refund.

ASHA Credits/REPORTing

Participants who wish to have their CEUs reported to (and tracked by) ASHA, must have their ASHA number, home address, home city and state fields completed on their PROMPT profile by the close of their workshop, or by the time that they send in their completed Technique Practicum or Certification projects.

If a participant has not been issued an ASHA number and is eligible for ASHA credits, please contact scott@prompt.org for the process to complete reporting to ASHA.

Please note that we generally report the CEUs to ASHA the next business day after the workshop and can not amend the report.

For more questions about ASHA reporting, please contact scott@prompt.org.

COURSE CANCELLATION

Please confirm the cancellation policy with the organization that collected your registration.

Please use care when booking non-refundable travel expenses as The PROMPT Institute does not reimburse any expenses you may incur in the event of a cancellation.

In the case of a non-culpable shortcoming (force majeure), and a workshop must be cancelled due to weather or other uncontrollable conditions, PROMPT will not be obliged to reimburse registrants for any expenses beyond the registration fee.

Participant Attendance Policy

Participation at the entire workshop is mandatory. Participants who arrive late or miss any portion of the workshop may not be welcome to return to the training and will not be eligible for a Letter of Completion or a refund of any costs incurred. You must attend the entire workshop to receive any CEUs. Please plan your travel arrangements accordingly.

Participants who are disruptive or do not meet the criteria for taking a PROMPT Workshop will be asked to leave, without refund.

Please note that you will use your hand to touch the face of your fellow participants and they will touch your face. If you have restrictions that may impede your ability to participate in touch, please contact admin@promptinstitute.com for potential accommodations.

Fingernail & Clothing Policy

Participants should wear comfortable clothing and the fingernails of the dominant hand must be cut short to allow for mylohyoid PROMPTing. Participants arriving at the workshop with long fingernails on the dominant hand will not be allowed to practice any mylohyoid prompts, as it is dangerous and extremely uncomfortable for your practice partner.  Those arriving with long fingernails will not receive ASHA CEU's. No refunds will be given for those that do not adhere to the fingernail and clothing policy.

Hand Sanitizer

In order to learn the correct finger placements and pressure needed to prompt, you will be touching fellow attendees faces and your face will also be touched.  If you feel the need to use hand sanitizer during the prompting sessions, you are welcome to do so.  Please bring sanitizer with you, if using the sanitizer will make you more comfortable when prompting.  There will be no sanitizer provided at the workshop!

UPdated Contact information

Participants are responsible for keeping their PROMPT membership profile contact information up to date. Workshop updates will be sent to the primary e-mail address on file within the PROMPT Institute website account. The PROMPT Institute will not be held responsible for any expenses incurred due to missed communications for outdated contact information.
